Nia Jax gives context to the shoot she had with Charlotte Flair.
Back in 2021, there was a match between Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair which left fans being very confused before realizing how bad the real life frustrations were between both women at the time.
Flair was the current WWE Raw Women’s World Champion at the time and Jax was looking to climb the ranks to get a crack at the gold, but instead, the two had a shoot fight live on WWE Raw which put heat on both women going forward.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Jax had this to say about the fight with Flair.
“My match with Charlotte, where we kind of got into a little stiff, a little back and forth there. You know, it was a miscommunication. I will say I’m going to call it a miscommunication,” Jax said. “Things got heated, like legit got heated in that match. And I did warn her a few times to stop, like to chill out. And she didn’t. And so then I two-pieced her.
When asked if things were on good terms now, Jax confirmed that was true and explained why.
“Oh, yeah. We’re good,” Jax responded. “But it was definitely, everybody was like, ‘What just happened?’ Even the crowd, because when it happened in the moment, I couldn’t hear anything because I was angry. Like, I was legit pissed. So I didn’t hear anything. But then when I felt the dead silence of the crowd, like I think the crowd was kind of like, ‘Is this really happening?’ And I could hear Corey Graves. Commentary is the only thing I could hear because that crowd was dead silent, because I think they were kind of in shock, like, ‘What just happened?’ So, yeah, it was definitely a moment. So that was a match [where] I’m like, ‘Oh.’ But then we were able to redeem ourselves after that.”
