Karl Anderson: If This Is the End of AJ Styles Career, We’re Losing One of the Greatest Performers of All Time
Karl Anderson gives his thoughts on the Phenomenal One.
At the 2026 Royal Rumble PPV, AJ Styles battled Gunther to save his WWE career, but in the end, Gunther choked out Styles the same way he did to Bill Goldberg and John Cena to end their WWE careers. A move that has left many feeling very emotional after seeing the end of the career of one of the greatest to step foot in any squared circle around the world.
While on Busted Open Radio, Karl Anderson gave his thoughts on the end of Styles WWE career and if this is the end of Styles pro wrestling career as well.
“If this is the end of AJ Styles’ career, if AJ Styles is finished with his last match with GUNTHER in Saudi Arabia at the Royal Rumble, you’re going to miss out now on arguably the greatest in-ring performer of our time… “…AJ Styles is on the Mount Rushmore of a lot of people’s Mount Rushmore. For people and kids who don’t who Ric Flair, John Cena and the Roman Reigns’ are, they grew up 2002, 2003, 2004 idolizing AJ Styles. “If this is the end, we’re losing out on one of the greatest performers of all time and one of the greatest humans in the wrestling business.”
There is no word yet on if Styles has any sights on competing in TNA, New Japan, or potentially All Elite Wrestling if his career is not all said and done just yet.
