WWE Reacts To Ava Stepping Away
As announced earlier today, WWE NXT General Manager Ava has revealed that she decided to not re-sign to the WWE and will be stepping away from the company. Ava, real name Simone Johnson, started training in WWE in 2020 to follow her father, The Rock’s, footsteps. Ava first started out as a wrestler as apart of the schism faction, but later turned into a managerial role for the WWE NXT brand.
Now, Fightful Select has reported that they have a statement from WWE themselves following Ava’s announcement.
Ava announced on January 30 that she would be leaving WWE after choosing to not renew her deal.
WWE sent Fightful the following statement: “WWE thanks and applauds Simone Garcia Johnson for her stellar work as Ava and beyond. Her passion, dedication, and impact were felt across the entire NXT and WWE community. We wish her the very best in all future endeavors.”
We wish Ava the best on what’s next in her future. She was a fan-favorite general manager and very well liked around the WWE BXT locker room.
