Could we soon see the return of the champ?
Alex Pereira Eagerly Awaits Return
UFC’s Light Heavyweight Champion and one of their current biggest stars is Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira. He is currently not scheduled for a fight, but fans are anticipating his return for an upcoming show, hopefully soon. It was rumored that we could see Alex at the White House card in June, maybe with a move up to heavyweight against Jon Jones, but that is no where near official.
Recently, Alex spoke with The Schmo, where he was asked about the potential of fighting on that card, and maybe moving up to heavyweight. For Alex, it doesn’t matter.
”It’s actually a question that I would like to ask, too. You know me, you know me very well, you know that I like to fight.” He continued on when asked about fighting at Heavyweight, “I’m ready, I’ve been training, start my training again, doesn’t matter for me. I just want to fight.”
Simple enough for the champion. He doesn’t know who or when, but he is ready. Chama. You can see the full interview below.
