Umar Nurmagomedov Says He Wants to Fight Merab Dvalishvili Before Challenging Petr Yan for UFC Gold
Umar Nurmagomedov is already thinking ahead of UFC 324.
At UFC 324, Umar Nurmagomedov will battle Deiveson Figueiredo as he looks to continue his winning streak following his last win over Mario Bautista.
Nurmagomedov challenged for the UFC Bantamweight Championship in 2025 and was unsuccessful against Merab Dvalishvili, but feels he is ready to take on the challenge one more time before he sets his sights on gold.
Nurmagomedov’s opponent Figueiredo missed weight during the weigh-in ceremony and will have to forfeit some of his purse to Nurmagomedov. But the main thing that Umar is focused on is getting back into the title picture and continuing the domination of Dagestan fighters in mixed martial arts.
