Cameron Smotherman Addresses Collapsing at UFC 324 Weigh-In, Says It Was a Crazy Weight Cut
A very scary situation happened during the weigh-in ceremony.
Cameron Smotherman was scheduled to battle Ricky Simon on the first Paramount Plus card for the UFC. However, as soon as Smotherman stepped off the scale, he fell face first a few steps later and had to be assisted to the back for further medical evaluation.
A half hour later and the UFC announced the fight between Smotherman and Simon would be cancelled. Smotherman would release a video statement, detailing how he had no idea what happened and that it was a mix of a crazy weight cut he forced on himself.

UFC 324 is set to be headlined with the interim UFC Lightweight Championship on the line between Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett. This will be the first-ever card for the UFC under the new Paramount banner.
