Dana White Says They Offered Justin Gaethje More Money, He Never Responded
Things are getting weird with the UFC’s pay stipulations.
UFC 324
Justin Gaethje is set to headline UFC 324 this Saturday against Paddy Pimblett, and like any fight week, there’s media. Yesterday, Justin Gaethje sat down with media and revealed that while everyone is talking about more money with the Paramount+ deal, he’s not received even one dollar more than he would’ve before, and was confused with people saying as such.
Today, Dana White joined the Pat McAfee show a was asked about the pay structure now that UFC isn’t on pay-per-view anymore, and was even asked specifically about Gaethje’s comments. Dana responded.
”We completely have it dialed in, we got like really smart kids that came and and told, you know, thy ca get down within single digits on how close it would be to pay them like it was a pay-per-view. And Gaethje, without getting into all that stuff, Gaethje was offered more money, and Gaethje never responded.”
If this is true, this could possibly be a communication issue between Justin and his manager, or, maybe there’s something that’s not being said that went down. Hopefully it gets squared away, but, it’s certainly a strange situation.
