Jon Anik: I’m Feeling For Kayla Harrison Right Now
Jon Anik sends his best to the champ.
Kayla Harrison’s Injury
Kayla Harrison, the UFC Bantamweight Champion, was supposed to defend her title against Amanda Nunes in the co-main event of UFC 324 this upcoming Saturday. But, news broke last week that Kayla suffered a neck injury that required surgery and she had to be pulled from the fight.
UFC is forced to postpone that bout until Kayla is recovered, which she gives a hopeful six month timeframe. Recently, TMZ caught up with Jon Anik who will be on the call Saturday night and asked him about the cancelled bout.
”Dude, watching her on instagram just in tears, in the neck brace, she’s already had neck surgery, that is as big a fight as we can put together in the men’s or women’s game, were Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes. Hopefully in six or eight months they can put it back together, but if you’re Kayla Harrison, you’re thinking about kicking off this paramount+ partnership and then potentially fighting on this White House card June 14th and maybe both of those go away now. So, Kayla’s a great human being, a great mother, I’m feeling for Kayla Harrison right now.”
Jon Anik was also asked about the White House card, which you can read here.
