On SmackDown, it was revealed that Drew McIntyre had a clause in the three stages of hell match contract that Cody Rhodes would not receive a rematch for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes would then have a promo segment later in the show talking about everything including losing the title. Ultimately, Rhodes made his intentions known that he was going to become a three-time Royal Rumble winner. In doing so, Rhodes is the first official entrant in the 2026 Royal Rumble Match.
