Mike Santana became TNA World Champion at Bound for Glory on October 12th. Frankie Kazarian cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet opportunity on November 13th to defeat Mike Santana and become TNA World Champion. Santana was initially scheduled to challenge for the TNA World Championship again on January 17th at TNA Genesis but TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella moved the match to the debut episode of TNA on AMC. A lot of back and forth in the match including a referee spot but ultimately multiple spin the blocks did the trick and Mike Santana won back the TNA World Championship.
