With their upcoming AMC debut looming, TNA has been trying to finalize contract statuses one way or another.
Now, it looks like we have a few updates.
PWInsider.com has the most recent update on the Rascalz, collectively.
The belief among those we have spoken with is that The Rascalz are no longer contractually bound to the promotion.
–Zach Wentz and Trey Miguel had deals expiring at the end of 2025 and we have been told TNA did not option those deals to continue for another year.
–Myron Reed’s Twitter bio currently lists him as a “Free Agent” so it would appear he is not under any current deal, either.
–Dezmond Xavier, who recently returned, was not signed with the promotion.
Multiple TNA sources declined to comment on their quartet’s status. They are all still listed on the TNA website roster as of this writing but PWInsider.com’s belief is all four are free and clear to appear anywhere they wish.
There is also an update on former World and former two-time and the inaugural International champion, Steve Maclin, reported by PWInsider.com:
“The word making the rounds is that former TNA Champion Steve Maclin has come to terms with TNA on what is described as an “extension” on his existing TNA deal. We do not know a length. Maclin is currently taking independent bookings through April.”
Myron Reed was planning for an X Division Title match against Leon Slater this week, but plans change. Leon is reportedly headed to join WWE for part of their tour of the United Kingdom this week, which conflicts with the aforementioned match. AJ Styles has been announced for the AMC debut of TNA, however.
This is also with Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, HomeTown Man, and the Hardy’s all having re-signed, BDE agreeing to a new deal, while Jake Something and Killer Kelly have left the company.
