At NXT New Years Evil, Oba Femi left the NXT Championship in the middle of the ring after he successfully retained it against Leon Slater.
On Wednesday, WWE announced on social media that he had officially vacated the NXT Championship and to stay tuned for more details.
Femi is making his way to the main roster after being a two-time NXT Champion and one-time NXT North American Champion.
