Last night on NXT, Oba Femi successfully defended the NXT Championship against TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater. After the match, Femi posed with the NXT Championship and the show cut to a backstage segment with Ava addressing members of the NXT and EVOLVE roster. Robert Stone came in and interrupted and asked Ava if she saw what Oba did. The show cut back to the ring where the NXT Championship was laying in the middle of the ring with a spotlight on it and Tony D’Angelo staring at it from the crowd.
Oba Femi ultimately relinquished the NXT Championship to make his way to the main roster.
