El Desperado Becomes Number One Contender for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 20
The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship was not set to be defended for the first time in 14 years at Wrestle Kingdom 20. Instead, a four way number one contenders match was made between El Desperado, Kosei Fujita, Taiji Ishimori, and SHO.
House of Torture got involved in this match often but El Desperado was able to overcome the odds to pick up the win and become number one contender for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
