A few months ago, it was announced that Olympic Gold Medalist Aaron Wolf signed with NJPW and would debut at Wrestle Kingdom 20. A match between Wolf and EVIL was made official and Wolf would be challenging for the NEVER Openweight Championship in his debut.
Despite outside interference from House of Torture, Aaron Wolf defeated EVIL to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion by choking him out.
