Missa Kate Announces Retirement From In-Ring Competition
Early this morning, “Chicago’s Sweetheart” Missa Kate announced on social media that she will be retiring from in-ring competition at 30 years old.
“How do I start this….
Tonight was my last wrestling match. Not just with CSW but across the board. I made a promise to myself when I first started wrestling that no matter where I was with wrestling, at 30 years old I would be done.
There is sooo much more to the story but I’m just going to end with that.”
Missa Kate capped off her seven year career with notable appearances in TNA, AEW, OVW, and NWA where she was an NWA Tag Team Champion alongside Madi Wrenkowski (Wren Sinclair).
Missa Kate was a staple on the independent scene going head-to-head against powerhouses like Shotzi Blackheart, Skye Blue, and Blair Onyx to name a few.
Missa Kate has also achieved milestones in her career such as being ranked #140 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top Female Wrestlers (2023), and #120 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top Female Wrestlers (2024).
On behalf of the entire Bodyslam staff, we wish Missa Kate all of the best in her journey in life post-wrestling.
