According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the majority of personnel in WWE want John Cena to close Saturday Night’s Main Event. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that the match was scheduled to open the show and WrestleVotes said the idea of Cena opening has also been floated.
John Cena pitched an idea for NXT talent to work Saturday Night’s Main Event so that the show didn’t revolve around him with a tribute show completely.
