During the main event of AEW Dynamite tonight, Samoa Joe paid tribute to John Cena as Cena is set to retire this weekend. Joe locked in the STF on Eddie Kingston and threw out a salute to Cena.
Cena and Joe competed and trained together in California-based promotion Ultimate Pro Wrestling during the early 2000s. They had one singles match against each other in WWE on a non-televised live event.
