Former Coach Sarah Stock Claims Inhumane Treatment Against Mexican Talent In AEW
Sarah Stock, the former Head of Talent Relations and longtime coach at All Elite Wrestling (AEW), publicly accused the promotion of subjecting Mexican wrestlers to “inhumane treatment” during her two-year tenure with the company. The Canadian-born luchadora, best known to fans as Dark Angel and Sarita, made the allegations in a series of posts on X on sparking immediate discussion across the wrestling community.
In her most pointed on social media directed at her followers:
“I hope my Mexican fans and friends understand the inhumane treatment toward Mexican wrestlers in @AEW that I witnessed during my 2 years working there.”
Stock detailed a specific policy that she described as both impractical and morally unacceptable: Mexican talent flown in for Wednesday’s Dynamite tapings were required to remain in the United States until the following Saturday’s Collision broadcast. According to Stock, these performers received no per diem, no meal allowance, and were afforded only one day per week at home with their families-if they were able to return to Mexico at all. She stated that when she raised the issue with AEW Chief Operating Officer Kosha Irby, he dismissed her concerns with the response, “Then I’d have to do it for everyone,” framing the practice as a cost-saving measure.
The former coach further alleged that the policy effectively prevented Mexican talent from accepting independent bookings in their home country during the week, while American talent faced no such restrictions and could freely work Thursday and Friday dates.
Stock’s accusations echo similar complaints made by Rey FĂ©nix in 2024 during his contentious departure from AEW, when the former AEW World Trios Champion said that he would have his chance to speak the truth in public statements.
Additional claims from Stock included a lack of basic logistical support for international talent, particularly young female performers from non-English-speaking countries. She stated that these wrestlers were frequently left without airport transportation or bilingual assistance upon arriving in large U.S. cities, in stark contrast to established North American stars who received full driver services.
AEW has not issued an official response to the allegations as of publication. Current AEW star Ricochet replied to Stock’s thread with a dismissive comment, while WWE Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer notably “liked” the primary post-an action quickly noted by fans and industry observers. Vaquer last fought Mercedes Mone in a losing battle prior to signing with WWE.
Stock concluded her series of statements by inviting AEW owner Tony Khan or any company representative to publicly refute her claims, adding that she felt compelled to speak out given the warm reception AEW events have historically received in Mexico.
