TNA Wrestling Likely Headed To AMC Network In New Teaser
Over the past few months, TNA President Carlos Silva has been all of the media landscape hyping new media rights deals for TNA Wrestling – the first to actually acknowledge it since Anthem Sports CEO Len Adler tweeted out that he had a “big new distribution deal coming soon” back in 2021.
The talks all started prior to Slammiversary where TNA President Carlos Silva was very vocal about getting TNA a better television/broadcast/streaming deal in an interview surfaced with Carlos Silva and John Wallstreet where some of the same topic was discussed, however, no specific network was named. Silva also mentioned looking for about $10 million for a media rights deal.
Shortly after the above-referenced John Wallstreet interview, TNA President Carlos Silva was on the Ariel Helwani show talking more in-depth about media rights and also revealed the subscriber count of roughly 21,000 for the TNA + app.
As far as a broadcast partner goes, back in July right after Slammiversary, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio shared that A&E network was the alleged “frontrunner” to land TNA on their platform, however, another network has now emerged as being rumored for negotiations with TNA, and In the August 4th edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave spilled the beans on a possible alternative network being interested – The CW – which Fightful Select later confirmed.
At the beginning of August – with the news that WWE would be moving PLEs off of the Peacock app in 2026 – a report emerged that Peacock is reportedly the “frontrunner” for TNA to get a streaming deal with that platform.
Back in mid-August, TNA President Carlos Silva shared with Jon Alba of Sports Illustrated that he predicts the company will have a media rights deal done – or at least something to announce – by the time their October Bound For Glory PPV rolls around.
Moments ago, AMC network took to their social media Twitter account to post a 7 second hype video with crowd noise in the background, with the date or 1.15.26 on the post. This is a Thursday night, and presumably the first LIVE episode of TNA ON AMC!
An official announcement must be forthcoming, but it’s safe to bet that TNA is headed to AMC following Jon Alba’s report of AMC making a big push for TNA’s media rights.
AMC is a huge upgrade in the US for TNA, and it will give them much more exposure.
On September 25, Santino addressed the current, ongoing TNA-NXT invasion that kicked off on Tuesday night. Marella talked about how the TNA wrestlers were tired of having some of their titles being held by wrestlers outside of the company, and were fed up. The next day, Santino also talked about TNA’s impending media rights deal and what it could mean for TNA and their place in the whole landscape of the business.
On September 27th, Blake “Axe” Avignon of the MMA Draw talked TNA media rights – where they stand, and the potential “blunder” that’s already been made during negotiations. He talked about frontrunner being reported to be The CW network, where WWE NXT airs – as well as how Carlos Silva revealing the monetary value of the fees could be detrimental to overall negotiations.
On October 2nd, Carlos spoke with TV Insider’s Scott Fishman and shared that TNA has narrowed their media rights down to one partner and that they’re working through the details of a deal.
Later that same day, Carlos was speaking on the Battleground Podcast, where he revealed that they’ve got it down to one partner they’re actively negotiating with, as well as whether TNA might adopt a home base for regular events and what the real plan looks like for next year.
As recently as October 8, TNA President Carlos Silva made it known, definitely, that TNA will be on a new platform in 2026, without giving away which platform that will be.
We now have confirmation of that television network, and details surrounding it.
While reports were out for months of the CW network was speculated to be the main partner, a new report on November 17th suggests that a new potential partner has entered the picture. Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI has learned through TV industry sources that “another network with no current WWE ties has been pursuing TNA’s media rights, with them indicating that AMC has emerged as a potential landing spot.”
“High-ranking television industry sources have indicated to The Takedown on SI that there is an expectation that TNA will announce a new media rights deal by the end of 2025, if not sooner.”
That same day, PWInsider.com confirmed that report, stating “talk of AMC getting involved with TNA has been bouncing around internally within the company since right before last month’s Bound for Glory PPV.”
The big takeaway from it being mid-November is that hopefully fans will know officially very soon where TNA will end up calling “home” in 2026. Almost every network is better than the one they’re currently broadcasted on – AXSTV.
