Jonathan Gresham Returns to In Ring Competing for the Jersey J-Cup
Jonathan Gresham’s first In-Ring competition since suffering two strokes earlier this year has been announced. He will be the seventh participant for the 2026 edition of the Jersey J-Cup on February 6 & 7 on Jersey City, New Jersey.
Gresham announced back in August 7th, 2025 that he was going to be taking time away from after he suffered the medical emergency. After he started his recovery, he shared some words on the situation:
“Two days ago, I woke up and couldn’t walk or move the left side of my body. I couldn’t see and could barely talk. It took me 30 minutes to dial 911, but I finally did. I woke up in the hospital, couldn’t remember what had happened. They told me they had done an MRI and I had two strokes.“
He noted that, despite numerous tests, doctors have not determined a definitive cause. A possible link to a severe case of COVID-19 he had a few weeks ago was mentioned as a potential, though unconfirmed, factor.
Jersey J-Cup returns on February 6 & 7. The wrestlers in the tournament are typically junior heavyweight wrestlers from independent promotions all over North America. Other wrestlers announced for the tournament are:
Jordan Oliver
Alec Price
Judas Icarus
Travis Williams
Erick Stevens
Man Like DeReiss
