Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight Score the first points of AEW’s Continental Classic Gold League
On Wednesday, All Elite Wrestling held a new edition of Dynamite which kicked off the 2025 Continental Classic, offering incredible matches. In the start of the Gold League, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight secured their first victories and added three points to their tournament standing.
The beginning of the Gold League brought an unexpected result: “The Protostar” defeated his fellow Don Callis associate and Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada. The match was intense from the start; Okada used his experience to punish Fletcher outside the ring, but Fletcher demonstrated his ability by neutralizing the Rainmaker. However, a frustrated Okada resorted to attacking his opponent’s eyes in an attempt to hit his finisher.

Despite Okada’s illegal maneuver, Kyle Fletcher held firm. The Australian reversed the Rainmaker attempt into a quick pin to surprise the champion and secure the three-count, ensuring a major victory and his first three points in the tournament. After the bout, and despite the intense struggle, Okada showed respect by shaking Fletcher’s hand.
In the second Gold League contest, Kevin Knight prevailed over Darby Allin. The match started with Allin appearing to suffer a knee injury. Despite this, both wrestlers took the action outside the ring with high-risk moves. But in the end, it was Knight, the member of JetSpeed, who sealed his victory with a Coast to Coast followed by a UFO Splash, also earning his first points.
