Dominik Mysterio Named Best Wrestler Under 30 by ESPN for Second Consecutive Year

ESPN released an article today listing the 30 best professional wrestlers under the age of 30. Dominik Mysterio was named the best for the second consecutive year.

Below is what ESPN had to say regarding Dominik Mysterio being ranked number one:

The son of Rey Mysterio has fully stepped out of his father’s shadow. Holding down the top spot for the second year in a row with his ever-improving in-ring ability and magnificent work on the microphone, Dominik has carved his own path in pro wrestling. He spent 2025 entering the “so bad he’s good” stage of his career, where he routinely gets the biggest crowd reaction — positive or negative — at arenas. He’s the bad guy everyone loves to hate and took his craft to the next level by holding the WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Championship titles simultaneously, appearing in both promotions throughout the year. Although he lost the Intercontinental Championship to John Cena on Nov. 10 on “Raw,” Dominik hasn’t lost momentum. He has become the perfect professional wrestler and a stellar heel who can’t get enough of taking potshots at his father while routinely suggesting that his “real” father is the late, great Eddie Guerrero. With Rey now in his 50s, it only makes sense that his son will eventually be the one who sends him into retirement.

The list consisted of wrestlers from WWE, AEW, CMLL, STARDOM, TNA, NJPW, NOAH, and AAA. WWE had 13, AEW had 7, CMLL had 2, STARDOM had 2, TNA had 1, NJPW had 3, NOAH had 1, and AAA had 1. The top 5 consisted of 3 WWE wrestlers and 2 AEW wrestlers.

This is the third time that ESPN has released a list naming the 30 best wrestlers under 30.
