During the AEW World Championship match between Hangman Adam Page and Samoa Joe, members of The Opps came out and got involved. Katsuyori Shibata distracted Hangman and grabbed the AEW World Championship and tried to climb the cage to enter. Eddie Kingston came out to chase off Shibata.

Powerhouse Hobbs appeared and ripped the chain off of the cage door to enter the cage only to be taken out by Hangman Page immediately. Referee Paul Turner was knocked unconscious as a result of accidentally being ran into the cage. Hook comes out to try and wake up Turner.

While Turner is finally coming to, Hook grabs the AEW World Championship and hits Hangman Adam Page with it. Hook takes off his jacket to reveal that he is wearing The Opps shirt. Samoa Joe would then capitalize and defeat Hangman to become the new AEW World Champion.
