AEW presents Full Gear this Saturday, November 22 live at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The event will feature a special edition of the Casino Gauntlet Match to crown the first ever AEW National Champion.
During the first hour of the special Dynamite + Collision on Boston, Massachusetts, two matches took place to decide who will be the first two participants to enter the contest.
Bobby Lashey and Ricochet kicked off this special edition of the Wednesday Night show. The member of the Hurt Syndicate would go ahead and defeat Ricochet after a combination of a Spinebuster and Spear for the victory, earning himself the #1 spot in the gauntlet.
Next, during the last minutes of the first hour, Shelton Benjamin fought “Speedball” Mike Bailey for a chance to earn the #2 spot on the contest for the AEW National Championship.
The Gold Standard subsequently defeated Mike Bailey and, to a curious reaction, Shelton Benjamin realized he will be wrestling his Hurt Syndicate partner to start off the Casino Gauntlet on Saturday. Kevin Knight is also scheduled to be part of the match along Ricochet and Mike Bailey.
