WWE has announced that Randy Orton will be making his long awaited Smackdown return on December 5, 2025. The Viper’s last appearance for the blue brand was back on the October third episode of Smackdown where he teamed with Cody Rhodes to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed where eventually Orton was written off television.
Randy Orton has been long rumored to be chasing after the WWE Undisputed Championship that Cody Rhodes lays claim to. WWE has not announced if Randy Orton will be involved in a match or appear on tv, only that he is advertised for Smackdown at the Moody Center in Austin, TX.
Also advertised for Smackdown inside the Moody Center is WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill, WWE Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton, Drew McIntyre, Jacob Fatu. (card subject to change)
Only time and opportunity will tell who The Viper sets his sights on as the road to the Royal Rumble starts off in Austin. His return will likely address this absence and lead to a new development in the next chapter of The Legend Killer.
