The latest WWE Grand Slam Champion speaks on his accomplishment.
Earlier today, John Cena appeared on ESPN’s First Take segment with Stephen A. Smith, Dan Orlovsky and Shae Cornette ahead of his final appearance as an in-ring performer on Monday Night Raw for tonight’s Madison Square Garden show.
John was asked by Shae Cornette what was the feeling for John on winning the one title he was missing before hitting the Grand Slam achievement on his hometown of Boston:
“I loved that… It was great. Normally in my history I don’t have a good record in Boston. Usually when I’m in Boston, I get my tail kicked. But it was my last time there, my last time in the TD Garden and there was magic in the air, and I warned the guy (Dominik) who was challenging me that ‘you don’t wanna pick a fight with me tonight’ and man, he just picked the wrong guy on the wrong night and so I was able to beat the Intercontinental Champion and I think that rounds up to a Grand Slam for me”
