On Sunday at the TNA Bound for Glory PPV, Steve Maclin used his contractual rematch to challenge Frankie Kazarian for the TNA International title after Kazarian defeated him for it two weeks prior at Victory Road. Maclin defeated Frankie Kazarian to become a two-time International champion.
Maclin was the inaugural International champion after defeating Eddie Edwards and Eric Young as part of a triple threat match at TNA Unbreakable back in April. Steve held the title for about five months until he was distracted by AAA star El Mesias at the LIVE Victory Road event on 9/26, and allowed that distraction to cost him the International Title.
In an exclusive video filmed after his victory on Sunday, he said his next quest is to go fight El Mesias down in AAA Mexico. While a date hasn’t been revealed for that match yet, Steve had already said he wants to be a true international champion, defending the title everywhere.
Where else will Maclin show up, and when? We’ll have to stay tuned for those answers, and more.
