Last week, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Cedric Alexander’s TNA contract was set to expire right after Bound For Glory.
Today, we got news of other contracts set to expire around the same time, and they’re current champions.
Fightful Select is reporting that “The IInspiration’s current contracts are through this weekend’s Bound For Glory show. Cassie Lee and Jess McKay, the former Peyton Royce and Billie Kay of the IIconics were on short-term deals with TNA Wrestling.”
However – as with Cedric Alexander – the company is hopeful and expecting to be able to retain the duo.
“Those that we spoke to in TNA say that they have already expressed interest in keeping The IInspiration in the company, and that they expect a deal to get done.”
The IInspirstion literally just won the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles last Thursday when they defeated Heather & M By Elegance, which one would think is a questionable decision if TNA wasn’t very confident about being able to retain the pair.
Time will tell if they do, but what an impeding television deal looming, TNA will hopefully be able to retain or sign any talent they want to.
