AJ Styles: Hiroshi Tanahashi Understands This Industry Deeply; He Would’ve Definitely Succeeded If He Came To WWE

AJ Styles would have loved to see The Ace in WWE.

As Hiroshi Tanahashi plans to enter retirement from professional wrestling, many former opponents and supporters of his are coming out and showing their respect for the legendary Ace who has done so much for the business personally and professionally.

While speaking with Tokyo Sports. This is what AJ Styles, another former foe had to say about Tanahashi if he ever did show up in WWE early on in his career.

“I think he would have done great.  Like my own kids, there are a lot of anime fans here. Tanahashi, including his hairstyle, is like an anime character himself, so I think he would have been a hit. Plus, he understands this industry deeply, so he would have definitely succeeded.”

Styles is planning his own retirement tour, he has said many times that 2026 could be the final year of his wrestling career that has spanned over twenty years.
