AJ Francis first appeared in TNA Wrestling at the TNA Hard To Kill PPV in January of 2024. Francis immediately created a group called FIR$T CLA$$ with former TNA World Champion Rich Swann. Last year, Rich Swann underwent an internal suspension from TNA after some allegations surfaced, so Francis replaced Swann with KC Navarro, was immediately signed by TNA. Navarro was part of FIR$ CLA$$ up until a few months ago when he got injured and had to have surgery on his knee. He was once close to KC Navarro, but turned on Navarro and welcomed Rich Swann back into the fold after Navarro got injured.
Recently, Francis was praising his on-screen tag team partner, calling him one of the best young talents in wrestling today.
Speaking to Fightful’s Kate Elizabeth at WrestleCon in August 2025, Francis called Navarro a blessing to work with and praised his energy and aura.
“I’ve had a lot of fun working with KC. KC’s one of the best young talents in the wrestling business, and he’s gonna be out for a little while, unfortunately. But when he comes back, we’ll have a lot of unfinished business to handle, and KC is such a blessing to work with. He has such a bright energy that you can feel his aura, and it’s been a great run with KC for sure.”
