Chris Jericho On Celebrating 30th Anniversary in Pro Wrestling: The Good News Is, My Career Isn’t Over Yet
Chris Jericho plans to continue for a long time.
Celebrating 30 years of his career, Chris Jericho has been part of the biggest companies and historical moments when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. From wrestling in Japan to WCW to his arrival in the Attitude Era to becoming the first Undisputed WWF Champion. There is almost nothing the future Hall of Famer can’t do when it comes to stepping into the squared circle to battle the very best in either company, he’s in.
Jericho took to social media where he posted this to celebrate 30 years of Jericho.
“Crazy to think it’s been 35 years to the day of my VERY FIRST MATCH! On Oct 2, 1990 I faced @stormwrestlingacademy in Ponoka, Alberta at the #PonokaMooseHall, in front of about 85 people. The match ended in a ten minute draw and I remember every little thing as if it happened only yesterday! (I got paid 30 dollars….a 20 & a 10!). I have had a wonderful, amazing, one in a million career since then…. and I wanna thank all of YOU from around the entire world for joining me for certain parts …or even all of it! And the Good news is….IT AIN’T OVER YET!” he wrote.
Jericho has not been on AEW TV since this past April. His current contract with All Elite Wrestling will end in December of this year unless he extends it sometime in the near future.
