Kris Statlander: I Want More Blow Off Matches and Street Fights, The Girls Love Going Nuts and Crazy In AEW

Kris Statlander wants to see more chaos in All Elite Wrestling.

The current AEW Women’s World Champion has been a face for All Elite Wrestling since her rise from the bottom to the top of the mountain. From being the first person to defeat Jade Cargill, dethroning the TBS Women’s World Champion to going through hell against a variety of different opponents. Statlander is no joke and wants to see the anarchy fill up even more with all the other women on the AEW roster.

“I want to see more things that people get so invested in that they want to see us at the top of the card every single night. And that’s not necessarily just a ‘Put us in the main event’ type thing. I think people need to draw passion from themselves into their performances, and I think we are getting to that point where people are caring so much about what they’re putting out there that things are getting more heated. Things are getting more exciting,” Statlander told Lyric Swinton of Sports Illustrated.

Statlander continued, “People are more invested in the women’s division than they ever have been before. And [I want] more big blow-off matches and more street fights. Why not? The girls love to go nuts. The girls love going crazy. More street fights, tag titles, blood and guts, maybe mixed tag stuff more often, stuff like that. I agree with all of those things.”

Statlander won the AEW Women’s World Championship in Toronto, Ontario at AEW All Out in a match that included former champion, Toni Storm, Thekla, and another former champion in Jamie Hayter.

On November 12, the women will get the opportunity to make history when they are involved in the first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match.
