Last night during the LIVE TNA Victory Road broadcast, Ash By Elegance came out for a big announcement. TNA President Carlos Silva and Director of Authority Santino Marella were already standing in the ring waiting for Ash.
Ash reveals that she is no longer clear for in-ring competition, so she would be forfeiting the TNA Knockouts World Title. She thanked the fans and the company for allowing her to strive with a new character and be successful. Ash handed over the title and waved to the crowd and she headed to the back.
Santino announced that a Knockouts Gauntlet would take place right then and that the last two women left in the gauntlet would fight later in the night to crown a new Knockouts World Champion. The winner of that match would the go on to defend the title against Indi Hartwell at Bound For Glory on October 12.
The final two women in the Gauntlet were NXT star Kelani Jordan and TNA Knockout Lei Ying Lee.
Both women would wrestle later, at which time Kelani Jordan defeated Lee to become the NEW TNA Knockouts World Champion.
It was made official shortly after that Jordan will defend against TNA Knockout Indi Hartwell at Bound For Glory on October 12.
Will Indi Hartwell bring the tutor back to that TNA side, or will NXT continue their hold on TNA belts? Weβll have to tune in to Bound for Glory on October 12 to find out.
