Sting: It Gives Me Major Bragging Rights That Not a Lot of People Can Say They Wrestled Antonio Inoki Like I Have
Sting reflects on the legendary career he had.
While speaking with Justin Dhillon of The Wrestling Classic, Sting, the legendary Icon was asked about his fondest memories of his time spent in Japan, he would go on to note that not many people can say that they got to battle the likes of Antonio Inoki, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time who tested everyone in the ring during his era.
“I mean, probably every match that I had with Mut. One in particular that’s going to be special, no matter what, gives me serious bragging rights, is that I wrestled Antonio Inoki. Not many people can say that.”
Sting retired from professional wrestling at AEW Revolution in 2024 when he and Darby Allin defeated the Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
