Bryan Danielson: I Don’t Feel Confident That I Am Able to Perform at the Level of the Very Best in AEW

Bryan Danielson kept it honest when asked about his retirement in All Elite Wrestling.

Bryan Danielson has not competed in a ring since losing the AEW Men’s World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream where if Danielson lost, he would retire from full-time competition, and when that did happen, he kept his word and walked off into the sunset once and for all.

While speaking with the Kairouz Bros, Danielson says he does not feel confident to be able to keep up with the level that the competition AEW currently has with stars like Hangman Page, Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and many others.

“Actually, from a wrestling perspective, it seems to be more fun to go do an indie show in front of 200 people or something like that. That doesn’t say anything about AEW. It’s just that the expectations for me would be so much less, in the sense that I don’t feel like my body can do what I would be expected to do in AEW, and that’s one of the great things about going to AEW shows, is that there’s so much. It’s action-packed, it’s hard-hitting, it’s great, but I don’t feel confident that I’m able to perform at that level anymore.”

Danielson has been serving as a full-time commentator for All Elite Wrestling in the last couple of weeks.
