Current TNA Knockouts Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay Tout TNA Creative Process, Partnership Between TNA & WWE

The IInspirstion are back in TNA after a long hiatus from wrestling. The duo returned at the TNA Agaisnt All Odds event back in June of this year.

Since then, they’ve had their eyes solely focused on one thing – the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles.

Speaking on TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring podcast, recently, Cassie Lee – the former Peyton Royce – discussed the difference between the free-flowing creative style of TNA Wrestling and the various creative obstacles they faced at WWE.

“Definitely, and I think that’s one of the reasons why we have so much fun at TNA, they just trust us. When we are able to cut a promo, or if we are doing a backstage segment, they just trust that we know ourselves well enough to deliver the message in a way that we truly would. Having that freedom to banter with each other and just be us, we know that’s where our money is so it was somewhat of a battle at WWE when we were still there where, like, one little word would have to be approved and that would take an hour to get approval and it’s like, do you go wait outside of an office for six hours to see if you can get this line changed because it doesn’t really fit us? So that has been really nice with TNA. They trust us, and I know WWE would, too; it’s just they are a different beast… But yeah, we have loved every part of the creative aspect of TNA.”

During the same interview, Jessica McKay – formerly known as Billie Kay – shared her thoughts on the working relationship. She called it good for the industry as a whole.

“I think it’s incredible. I think it’s just so good for the wrestling business in general, because it opens up doors for so many more people. It’s also exciting. It’s exciting watching each show and not knowing if somebody is going to pop over to either show. It’s really exciting. So I’m all for it. I think it’s a great partnership. It’s definitely been awesome to watch.”

The IInspiration previously challenged the The Elegance Brand (Ash & Heather By Elegance) at TNA Slammiversary and wrestled on the Countdown show. Ash and Heather won the match after M By Elegance (Maggie Lee) interfered in the match and gave her team the advantage, which led to victory. This time, however, Ash will be defending her TNA Knockouts World Title separately, so she likely won’t have anything to do with this match. Instead, it will be Heather and M By Elegance defending, per the “freebird” (Elegance) rule.

Will the end result stay the same, or will the Iinspiration pull out the victory this time? We’ll have to tune in or be there LIVE!
