Jerry Lynn Reveals the Advice He Gives Young Wrestlers Who Are Getting into the Business
Jerry Lynn wants this advice to help, not push back anyone in the wrestling world.
Working as a coach and producer for All Elite Wrestling, Jerry Lynn has been part of the professional wrestling world for a very long time, from his days in ECW to working with Ring Of Honor, he has seen and been through it all.
During an episode of Queen Aminata’s vlog, she asked Lynn what advice he would give to young wrestlers in the business today and in the future.
“The advice I give any wrestler, even ones that are just thinking about doing this, is you’re going to get out of it, what you put into it. I had a call recently from a promoter about an appearance, and I asked him, I go, ‘well, how long of a drive is that?’ He says, ‘about five hours’, and I said, ‘well, that’s not bad,’ and he laughed. He goes, ‘I can tell you’re an old timer,’ and I said, ‘why?’ Because he said a five-hour drive isn’t bad. He says, ‘I can’t get these young people to drive two hours.’ And I said, ‘that’s pretty sad,’ That’s why I always tell him. You’re going to get out of it, but you get into it. How bad do you really want it?”
Lynn has been on AEW TV as of late, serving as a peacemaker between Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, who formerly teamed up as the Acclaimed.
