AJ Lee Makes Shocking Return to the WWE, Attacks Becky Lynch to Close Out 9/5 Edition of SmackDown
The return the entire WWE Universe was waiting for finally happened at the AllState Arena.
Since Monday night, the whole world has been buzzing with the possibility of a WWE legend making her way back to the WWE in one of the biggest rivalries the company has seen evolve like this in such a long time.
AJ Lee, the former three-time WWE Divas Champion has been a huge name that many fans have wanted to see back in the company since her husband, CM Punk made his way back two and a half years ago. A move that shocked the entire world, and the only way to give the fans in Chicago another huge surprise was by bringing back the missing half for Punk to put an end to the anarchy caused by the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, and his wife, current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch.
Early in the day of September 5th, the day of a massive SmackDown that would be held at the AllState Arena, Punk, who is a diehard Chicago sports fan, was brought in by his beloved Cubs to throw out the first pitch before the squad of Pete-Crow Armstrong, Nico Hoerner, Will Castro, and Dansby Swanson put a whooping on the Washington Nationals to give baseball fans something to smile about.
A night filled with action at the AllState Arena would reach its closing moments which involved Rollins coming out to a mixed Chicago crowd that sang his music but reminded him who is the leader of the voice of the voiceless. Rollins would introduce his wife, Becky, who came out to roaring boos the entire walk to the ring.
However, the time for talk was over, CM Punk would make his way out to the ring, and after a back-and-forth shouting fest with The Man, he would bring out the one person everyone was waiting for until the last moments of the night, AJ Lee.

Now, AJ is officially back in the WWE, and we will now have her first official match back with her side-by-side with her husband, CM Punk, against the duo of the unpredictable Rollins and Lynch, who’ll definitely have a lot to say once Monday Night Raw arrives on September 8th.
