LJ Cleary On the Irish Wrestling Scene: We Do Have a Chip on Our Shoulder, There’s A Lot of Pride in Our Work

LJ Cleary reflects on the past year of his work.

During WWE”s tryouts for SummerSlam week, LJ Cleary, who has been making a pretty big name for himself as of late was interviewed by the Angle podcast, where he spoke about the influences he’s had over the years, including Finn Balor, Sheamus, Becky Lynch, and his girlfriend, the former Intercontinental Champion, Lyra Valkyria.

“We’ve got Sheamus, Becky, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Lyra Valkyria, I think that because Ireland is small, we are kind of looked at as like that’s the little island over there, you got the UK next to it and that’s massive, but then there’s little old Ireland. So I think Irish people, speaking for myself, we do have a chip on our shoulder… There’s a lot of pride in the work.”
