Cody Rhodes On Potential Trilogy Match with Roman Reigns: I Don’t Know His Outlook on It, We’re Different Than We Once Were

Cody Rhodes reflects on the journey he’s been on.

While doing a sitdown interview with Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, the current WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes reflected on the rivalry that put him in this position in the first place, and how both he and Roman Reigns still have one more singles match above their head if the two wanted to battle it out one more time.

“I’m very happy with what we put out there. I always try to wax poetic about him. Anytime I’ve ever said something a little snarky, I guess it’s been more for entertainment. That’s probably a very hard match to have happen. I could see it being very significant, it happening again. For the fans who really make this all up, for that, you can’t just have two. We split it. That third exists. A lot of times, sometimes matches can go in the file of the greatest matches that never happened. I’m certainly not adverse to it. I don’t know what his outlook on it is. We’re different than we were. Not adverse to it. We’re split. He won one, I won the other,” said Rhodes.

Rhodes is currently involved in a feud with Drew McIntyre after the Scottish Warrior ambushed Rhodes and laid him out to end the August 8th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
