Shayna Baszler Says She Had Nearly Three Years Left On Her WWE Contract Before Being Released
Shayna Baszler opens up more about her departure.
On August 13th, Shayna Baszler had her first major interview appearance when she appeared on the Ariel Helwani show and spoke about a number of things, including how much time was remaining on her WWE contract before she got the call that they were going to release her from her deal with the company.
From being taken off of TV to not knowing what would happen next, Baszler felt she knew what was coming next and did not feel as much shock as she expected she would.
“It’s obviously never a good feeling, but it was not unexpected… Just nothing was really hitting with creative. As much as it’s a bummer in that moment, I kind of knew this was where we were at.” – Baszler said to Helwani.
Baszler also spoke about the possibility of jumping over to All Elite Wrestling, the company that also has a couple of her friends, including the muscle of the Death Riders, Marina Shafir.
