Karrion Kross: I Had A Gut Feeling That SummerSlam Was Going To Be My Last Time In A WWE Ring
Karrion Kross talks about his final WWE appearance.
On August 13th, Karrion Kross made his first major appearance for an interview with Ariel Helwani where the two spoke about a number of topics, including his final months in WWE, his final match against Sami Zayn, and a ton of other things.
During the day of SummerSlam, Kross said he felt in his gut that this would be the last time he would share a WWE ring against an opponent and how everything that day felt different than usual.
“I had a gut feeling. My gut is never wrong. I felt in that moment this is the last time. I felt it all day. There were subtle things that I couldn’t even tell you. I could not even convey in words, body language, energy, stuff like that. I even had a friend of mine tell me to do something for the live crowd when you’re leaving to say goodbye or something. I didn’t want to be unprofessional.” – Kross said to Helwani
Kross went into deep detail about the moments leading up to the final match. From the post-WrestleMania promo he had with Sam Roberts to the cult following he built from the ground up.
Kross would go on to lose to Sami Zayn at SummerSlam in his final WWE match before his contract expired.
