Bret Hart: I Was Invited to SummerSlam and Then I Realized That They Never Really Fully Appreciated Me

The Hitman reflects on his recent visit to the WWE in New Jersey.

SummerSlam’s first two-night event kicked off August, but it also left a sour taste in the mouth of a WWE Hall of Famer who feels he has been disrespected by the WWE for the last time.

Bret Hart was invited to SummerSlam by the WWE, but when he got there, he was reportedly not even offered a chair in the crowd like fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Kevin Nash was. Which made the Hitman feel the disrespect was even louder than before for him from the higher-ups in the WWE.

“I went to SummerSlam. They (WWE) invited me down this year and told me that they wanted me to be in the crowd. Then they told me once I got there that they didn’t have any seats. I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. I don’t feel like WWE, maybe I finally realized that they I don’t think they never really fully appreciated me.” – Bret Hart said on Vaughan Con

Hart recently spoke about how he confronted Gunther, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion about his wrestling style and how much Hart disliked it, stating that it was ‘Lazy shit wrestling” in the eyes of the original Ring General.
