AJ Styles: If I’m Being Honest, This Might Be My Last SummerSlam That I Compete In

The Phenomenal One is going to cherish this potential final SummerSlam event.

The first time AJ Styles stepped foot on the stage for SummerSlam, he was getting ready to defend his status as Mr. TNA against Mr. WWE’s John Cena, the two would fight in a classic five-star match which ended with Styles getting the huge win over the current seventeen-time WWE Undisputed Champion.

Now, Styles is preparing for another test for himself at his age, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio. But when asked about how he’s feeling heading into this event, the Phenomenal One was honest and expressed that this might be the last time he laces up his boots for what the WWE calls the biggest party of the summer.

Mysterio has been looking for many ways out of this title defense, but after a sneak attack revealed he was healthy, the match was made official before Styles pinned Mysterio in a six-person mixed gender match to build his momentum heading into his match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
