This week, TNA has had quite a bit of contract news via Fightful Select, and yesterday was no different. Bodyslam covered the contract updates of Killer Kelly, Myron Reed, Jake Something, and the heavy interest in International talent Lena Kross.
Add one more to the list. Fightful Select has more on current X Division Champion, “The Youngest In Charge” Leon Slater –
“Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has now learned that Slater had then put pen to paper on a three year deal that is set to expire in the fall of 2026.”
Slater signed with TNA (IMPACT) when they were in the United Kingdom in October of 2023. Slater had just wrestled TNA icon Frankie Kazarian, and then came backstage and signed his contract offered by former IMPACT EVP/President Scott D’Amore.
Leon made history just two weeks ago when at TNA Slammiversary when he defeated Moose to become the youngest X Division champion in the history of the company at twenty years old. Leon had his first successful title defense last night when he overcame both Jason Hotch & Cedric Alexander in a match.
Of course, Leon pinned Hotch and that left Cedric to doubt his greatness, so the two will square off at the upcoming LIVE TNA Emergence show on 8/15.
