One of the most famous artists in the world looks to be making more than just a musical performance for the WWE as it is being reported Jelly Roll is scheduled to wrestle at SummerSlam in less than a month.
According to PWInsider, the musician has been training for some time for this match and it has been confirmed that the top babyface he is working with will not be Cody Rhodes.
“He will be at tomorrow’s Friday Night SmackDown to kick off the storyline, which will see him align with a top babyface.”
Jelly Roll was announced a week ago for the guest appearance on Friday Night Smackdown but it seems it will be more than the usual celebrity cameos that WWE usually does.
Jelly Roll has made multiples appearances over the last couple of years for the WWE which included playing his song Liar at Summerslam in 2024 which was the theme song of the show. On that show, he helped The Mix and R-Truth take out Austin Theory. That segment was capped off by a chokeslam from Jelly Roll to Theory.
WWE also wanted there another major artist in a match earlier this year as it was planned for Travis Scott to wrestle with Logan Paul and John Cena at Money in the Bank but those plans fell apart weeks before the show.
SummerSlam is very star studded from the main stream perspective as Cardi B is hosting the two night event even though there has been very light promotion that she is hosting the shows.
