Top TNA Star Steve Maclin Wants To Defend TNA International Title Against Eddie Edwards

Steve Maclin has TNA gold around his waist yet again. This time, it’s the TNA International Title, which he’s the inaugural champion of.

Steve won the belt back in April when he won a tournament to crown the new champion, and then went on to defeat Eric Young in one of the bloodiest matches in recent TNA history.

During a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Maclin was asked who he would like to face for the championship. He noted that he wants to wrestle Eddie Edwards and says that the match would be even more special at one of the upcoming TNA shows in Rhode Island. 

“With Rhode Island just being announced and not too far away from Boston, I would love to have Eddie Edwards step up and challenge me for the International Title. That’s a matchup that I’ve been looking forward to. I know we got to get our hands on each other in a Triple Threat with him and Ace Austin at the Unbreakable pay-per-view. But to have a one-on-one with Eddie and have that luxury of a little bit of time out there with the title on the line is something that I would love to do.”

Steve Maclin is a former TNA World Champion, and Eddie Edwards is a former multiple-time World Champion himself. These two TNA stalwarts going to battle in the New England area with the title on the line would sure be a MAJOR match.

TNA’s biggest PPV of the year – Slammiversary – is right around the corner on July 20th – and you can bet that Steve Maclin will not only be part of the show, but be defending his International Title in what’s sure to be a blockbuster match.
