Rey Mysterio Reveals When He Should Be Back In A WWE Ring Following His Torn Groin Injury
Rey Mysterio should be back in a jiffy.
During the build to WrestleMania 41, Rey Mysterio was involved in a feud with El Grande Americano (Chad Gable under a mask), and the two were scheduled to face off at the grandest stage of them all, however, Mysterio suffered a torn groin the night before the night and plans had to change. Now, the legendary Hall of Famer expects himself to be back in the ring pretty soon.
“So, I was explaining to someone yesterday that I tore my groin. He goes, ‘How did it happen? Was it when they pulled you?’ I said, ‘No…’ The guy that I was wrestling stood in front of me. He bailed out the ring underneath the bottom rope and I went to chase him and when I pushed off with my left leg, I just heard a (*rip noise*). Like, that’s it? I tore my groin like that? And yeah, usually it happens on the simplest sh*t.” – Mysterio said on LA PLATICA.
Gable recently suffered an injury from the work he has been having to do under both characters and it has not been revealed yet when he is planning on making his return. A plan for Mysterio vs. Gable to go down at WWE’s SummerSlam has not been planned or spoken about.
