Kurt Angle Names His Top Three Athletes That He Has Stepped In The Ring Against
Kurt Angle has battled the best of the best.
During an episode of WWE Retrospective video, the Olympic Gold Medalist and WWE Hall Of Famer, Kurt Angle spoke about his No Mercy 2000 match against The Rock where he would go on to name the Rock, AJ Styles, and Shelton Benjamin as his three best athletes that he has stepped foot in the ring against.
“The Rock was incredible, most amazing athlete, one of the best athletes I’ve ever been in the ring with, I would say him, Shelton Benjamin, or AJ Styles. But The Rock had this athleticism that was second to none. So talented, he moved like a cat. He was a big boy, six-foot-five, and 280 pounds, who moved like he weighed 120 pounds.”
Styles is currently involved in a feud with Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Benjamin is one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, alongside Bobby Lashley, and The Rock has not been seen on WWE TV since he made John Cena sell his soul and betray the former WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.
